we walked like crazy today. we started at Prague Castle and explored all the free stuff we could. The Cathederial is amazing. It is literally jaw-dropping. We wandered around the outside for a good while before heading in. The interior is even more spectatular than the exterior. After the castle, we made our way over to Petrin Hill where they have the most amazing park. We strolled the paths of the park for a few hours; it was so beautiful. A perfect autumn day, leaves falling, beautiful colours. It made me miss fall at UPS so much. The hills of the park also had the most spectacular views of the city. It almost took my breath away. Prague is aptly named the Golden City.
After our lengthy stroll in the park, we started to get hungry so we made our way back down to the city to get a late lunch. We ate at this place reccomended in the guide I bought called Bohemia Bagles. It was very good, though it didnt shine a candle to Some Bagles in Richland.
After lunch we hung out on the Charles Bridge for a bit- Meg sketched and I wandered. It was just about dusk and so beautiful. After the bridge, we walked around Old Town Square, got some ice cream (or at least I did, Megan has much better self-control than I do when it comes to sweets) and had a look around the many, many gift shops for a bit. All very overpriced though, as expected. I got a sticker to put on my laptop and some postcards.
Then we headed back to the hostel (after a quick pit stop at the supermarket to get a snack) and I am currently watching a movie in the hostel living room with a ton of other people.
