Arrived at Glen Innes at 15.00 hrs after stopping for lunch at Mann River. Quite cool up here on the New England Tablelands. Staying at Fossicker Caravan Park for 2 days while exploring the area.

Explored today - drove through Emmaville on to dirt road to The Nomads picnic ground in Torrington. Took a bush walk to the Thunderbolt Lookout climbing through mammoth boulders to the panoramic view at the top. Also checked out the Celtic Stones in Glen Innes.

Left Tanah Merah at 14.30 after a frenetic morning of organizing and packing. Finally we are on our way. With all intentions of staying peacefully at Mt Warning why I encouraged Geoff to keep going I will never know. My intended stop as the caravan park near the river by Ocean Shores but it is on the north bound side of the highway. Travelled today to Glen Innes and booked into the Fossickers Caravan Park. Clean park and walking distance to shops and city centre. Very chatty neigh ours and everyone very friendly. Lovely shower and sleep but quite chilly. Next day left the van at the park and went exploring. Drove to Torrington and hiked toThunderbolt Lookout - a massive display of rock on the escarpment overlooking the valley. Saw a live DeathAdder on the side of the road. Looking forward to...
