Hey Everyone!
It's the Friday before I leave for Costa Rica! Can't believe I am leaving in two days!
I am writing this blog to keep everyone whose interested updated as well as have a record for myself.
And just for anyone who doesn't know here's a quick run though of what I will be doing.
I'm going to be Volunteering at the Sloth Sanctuary in the Limon Province of Costa Rica. I will be leaving early in the morning on Sunday and flying through Atlanta before arriving in San Jose, Costa Rica. I will then spend two days in Alajuela for my orientation through Real Gap. I will then head to the Sanctuary until March 17th. I will be heading home on the 18th.
While I am at the Sanctuary I will be doing a little bit of everything. I'm not positive of the details since volunteers do whatever the Staff need done at the time but I will be helping with feeding and caring for the Sloths as well as possibly doing maintenance type projects and maybe some data entry. I may even lead some tours but I'm not sure about that.
Anyway, I'm incredibly excited! A little nervous about the International travel but can't wait to get there and get started!
I will try to keep everyone updated on how things are going while I'm there as often as I can. I will also attempt to upload some pictures as I go so ya'll can see the area, Sanctuary and of course the Sloths :)
