After leaving at 4 this morning I have arrived in Costa Rica. The travel was simple enough and I met some very nice people along the way. Before going through customs I met a girl who was coming to volunteer at an orphanage in Costa Rica through the same program that Claire traveled with. Outside the Terminal I met up with one of the real gap organizers and another volunteer. We then took a taxi to our hostel Anajuela Backpackers Hostel. All volunteers are meeting for dinner in a couple minutes. After arriving at the hostel the other volunteer and I wondered around the town and then sat and talked for a while to waste time. She is from Scotland and will be in Costa Rica for 3 months helping to teach English at a local school. she will be staying in a home stay.
There are three other volunteers in my room at the hostel but I have not had a chance to meet any of them yet. All the other volunteers are staying in one large dorm room. There will be one other person traveling with me on Tuesday to the sloth rescue but I have yet to meet her as well.
I have orientation at 8:30 tomorrow and a free afternoon to walk around the town. I leave at 4:45 in the morning Tuesday to catch a bus to the Sloth Rescue.
So far it seems like this will be an interesting and exciting trip.

Claire It was so good to talk to you, and I am happy to hear that all is well! I hope your bus ride to the sloth center is uneventful! Love you! Missed you at dance last night... We danced to sway! :) It was kind of awesome!
