Wow Namibia.
I have done so much lately that I cant quite remember when and where so I am just going to get as much down as possible but not worry too much about the detail.
Camped on the outskirts of the Kalahari Desert and did a walk with Bushman. They explained through an interpreter the different roots they use for curing various ailments. They gave us a seed to put under our tongue. After 30 seconds it quite literally 'popped' open with a loud click sound. They use this seed to help teach the children to talk in the 'click' language.
That night camping was very cold and we had an early start 5am so taking down the tent was a bit challenging.
Now in Namibia, we have stayed in the capital, Windhoek. In the luxury of a hostel. Realy great to have good showers with mirrors and hot water. Electricity - hairdryers!!!! Went out for a meal at a restaurant specialising in African Game. Joes Beers House. I had a dish of Ostrich, Zebra and Springbok - all very good. It was great to get a bit dressed up and eat in a restaurant. A good night.
