We woke up early and Isha realised she lost her purse last night. So after getting ready and collecting laundry we went back to the bar we were at last night for breakfast. They had ishas purse with all the money intact, so got a big tip.
We walked into the citadel, it was an extremely hot day! We paid for entry, but only had 30 mins to explore the remains of the city. We decided to stay a little longer and get a taxi back to the hotel. Our bus to hoi an was booked for 1.15pm, so we just got our bags and waited outside the hotel for it to arrive.
A small red can arrived, we hoped it wasn't ours for a 4 hour journey. Anyway they took us to another place to wait for the big bus. Which actually turned out to be quite nice, a sleeper bus.
We arrived in hoi an around 7pm, with no free rooms in any hostels. Just one nice hotel, the long life, had a room at 60 dollars a night. We were forced to take it but it was a nice hotel.
We walked around hoi an, and saw the biggest traffic jam ever, motorcycles on the pavement and gridlock.
The full moon festival was on, so we joined the crowds of thousands of Vietnamese people and explored the markets. Sam attempted to put a candle on the river but it blew out.
After dinner at a small place across the bridge with great food we walked back. We ended up bumping into our Scottish friends Judi and Katy at a bar we walked past, very odd. We arranged to meet them for dinner tomorrow.
We headed to the hotel and went swimming under the full moon. Then put up the mosquito net the hotel gave us and went to bed.
