Ashlee Robinson

In July 2011, Ashlee and Nic will be taking a 9 week tour of South East Asia. First stop, Thailand. Here, they will spend just over a month exploring the islands, national parks and all things Buddhism. Afterwards, their journey will take them through Cambodia; visiting the world's largest religious site, Angkor Wat, the Killing Fields, the floating village of Tonle Sap, the famous Mekong Delta river amongst other sites. They will then journey to Vietnam; delving into the cultural pleasures of museums, tombs, temples and art galleries, napping for 3 nights on Vietnam's largest river, visiting many sites of the Vietnam War and exploring the breathtaking scenery of Halong Bay. Next, it's an overnight train to beautiful Laos for some hiking, biking, caving, swimming, elephant treks, night market shopping and a visit to the Bear Rescue Centre to volunteer our services. Finally, they will make their way to Chiang Mai; the largest and most culturally significant city in northern Thailand to mix with the local residents and learn to cook, Thai style. Afterwards, they will return back to Bangkok via overnight train.

Updates will be conducted as much as possible during the trip depending of course, on internet access.
