My trip is over! At the moment I'm waiting in Taiwan for my plane to Frankfurt, from where I will take the train to Amsterdam, so still a long journey..
The last days in Tokyo were very busy, we went to the Ghibli museum (about all miyazai's movies, like spirited away), Disneyland japan with crazy japanes, Kamakura (a surfvillage with a big buddha, the daibutsu), the Edo-Tokyo museum and the last night with my parents we went with a japanese friend of my father to a karaoke place, really cool! you get your own room and everybody sings along.
So after my parents left, I moved to a hostel in Shinjuku, another part of Tokyo. I went surfing again in kamakura. The waves were really low so I decided to go the north of Tokyo the next day, to Chiba (also an ASP world tour spot, for the surfers;)) and after 2 hours trains, hitchhiking with my surfboard and walking I was there! Japanese surfcapital, the waves were not so high but high enough and it was fun to see all the japanese in their wetsuits while the water is 25 degrees and the airtemp is 35 degrees.. And another thing different from surfing in the rest of the world is that you are surrounded by girls! There're more girls then boys in the water here, the boys are just sitting on the beach acting like cool surfdudes but don't surf...
The last night in Tokyo was crazy. With 3 spanish from the canaries I went to the biggest club of Tokyo, "Womb" and after I lost them, I went with some japanese and mexicans to an afterparty somewhere on the 11th floor of a deserted building and came back in the hostel at 8am.. I was gonna meet with a friend from Berkeley in Yokohama at 11am and woke up at 1.30 because my alarm didn't work... A lot of running and trains later I was in Yokohama at 3 and found her! I was a little late.. but we still had enough time. So she showed me around in Yokohama, which is the 2nd city of japan, chinatown, and we went to the highest building in japan, to the 69th floor with an elevator that goes 45 km/h! (I never felt my ears pop that hard) with amazing views of yokohama and a part of tokyo.. And that was my last night in japan! my laptop battery is almost empty so I stop, I see you all in holland! Or in some other place on the planet, adios!
