Today, April 15th 2021, I performed my very first solo flight as Oxford 2477 with N4403W. With a total flight time of 6 minutes, I performed 1 take off and 1 landing. Special thanks to my flight instructor Jorrell for learning me the skills to cruise through the skies. I have added pictures in the 'photo' section and videos in the 'video' section.
Today I visited the Phoenix Botanical Garden near Papago Park. It was a wonderful experience. Although it's in centre Phoenix, you don't feel that at all! You hear the birds singing, you see squirrels, snakes, rabbits and many other wildlife. The park itself is divided in several 'small' gardens (Small is very relative here in America): a bee garden, a butterfly garden, a hummingbird garden, a cactus garden, the Sonoran desert garden, etc. You can look at the pic...
I have been absent for a while as I got pretty busy with the last flights before my first Progress Test. I still have two flights remaining: tomorrow (March 30th) and Wednesday (March 31st). Then I'll have apporximately 5 days inbetween the last flight and my test. Progress Test 1 consists of: 1 normal landing, 1 flapless landing, 1 glide approach (simulating an engine failure) and 1 go around. Yesterday and today (Monday 8/3 and Tuesday 9/3) we made a road trip to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Our day started at 5h15 in the morning were we had our simulator at Falcon Field to practice the patterns (circuits around the airport where you practice takeoffs and landings).
