Hi again guys! Before getting to Wellington we actually stopped off one night in Taupo, but the only thing that happened worth writing about is that on the way there from Rotorua, we stopped off at a volcanic spot to hike up it. We were probably 15 minutes from the summit after walking for just under an hour, when a guy on his way down told us he had a call saying his car at the bottom had got broken in to! So we decided it was best to turn and run the whole way back.Only to find out it was probably done before we even got there but, better be safe than sorry!

So five hours later we arrived in Wellington, the first hostel we stayed at was five mins from the city centre but not worth writing about, it was more of a party house than a hostel with most people living there. The owner looked alot like Mr Miagie (karate kid) "and was abit wrong in the head." He obviously didn't know how to run a hostel! So that night we rung around for another hostel and managed to find one which was much better and even cheaper :) The down side was that we had to pay for parking and get up early in the morning to move the car from the street to a car park, later on we found that it wasnt too safe on the side of the road as we found the wing mirror hanging off with a nice greeny splattered across the passanger window ( someone obviously didnt like the nissan range)

We planned to get to Wellington for the saturday because we heard it was a good night out. So after walking around the city all day waiting for the sun to go down, We started off in the hostel bar to throw a few darts to get warmed up, then headed into town. You will just have to check out the photos as we can't remember much lolz so it must have been a good night :P

The next day we met up with Bens second cousin who lived in Wellington. This is where Ben and Alex's bank cards were getting sent to, and thats the reason we stayed in Wellington for so long. He kindly took us out for some fish and chips. We then headed up to mount victoria which is a great lookout over Wellington but it was still light and we didnt have the camera so we decided to go back the next night to take some photos which are abit blurry sorry!

Because we were waiting on the bank cards, the next big night out was wednesday.. student night! So we decided we might aswell stick around for that seen as though the saturday night was so good. Untill then we shopped about, saw the museum as we couldnt find much else to do, and just relaxed in Wellingtons layed back atmosphere. We all made a meal in two's first night it was spag bol (Ry n Alex) then Chicken Korma & rice (Al and Ben). With Definate signs of improvment since Rotorua's attempts!

After a few haircuts, ear piercings, and lots of vodka, we went out that wednesday night... and remember even less :P Sorry we didnt have the ability to take many photos lol and the next day we just about managed to get up and check out ON TIME not! Then headed for our ferry to the south island.
