Rather ordinary breakie. Met owners wife just when i left. Talks heaps but nice. Called guesthouse in bishkek to announce my arrival. Very beautiful trip to biskek. At least the first part. Bus broke down half way and all had to change to another. Nice welcome at great guesthouse in bishkek. Easy evening.

Most incredible breakfast. Crap weather. Head off to karakol, along lake and yurts and sheep herds and horses and people on fields. Cbt and tourist info closed. Head to marzey guesthouse just to hear owner is swiss and his wife on the way here. Would rather pay locals than foreugners. Karakol is pretty though. Very quiet and small but lovely houses making up a beautiful village around sovjet center.

Up early. Awesome weather. Quick breakie and off to embassy. Fortunately got there second after uk ian. Handed in forms, got cab to bank and back in time. Hand in bank receipt and left passport behind. Hope i'll have no problems. Now waiting for bus to depart to cholpon ata. Taking a while. Awesome trip through deep valleys surrounded by hughe snowcovered mountains, along beautiful streams. Lake issyk kul is beautiful turquoise. Cholopon ata an aweful summer ibiz...

Pleasant company for breakie. Off to town to try and organise visa. Quite expensive having travel comp doing it. Rainy again. Better in afternoon. Head off to rodem guest house with very friendly and helpful staff. Opera performance was boring. Sunny by evening, lots of people around as wwii national holiday. After chatting with aida at guesthouse decided to organise visa myself.

Slept well, no bathroom runs. Ok breakie. Crap weather. All shops closed. Even circus not running today. Sitting in opera house, awaiting concert. No entrance fee. Several performers, some great, some good. But overall incredible quality. Big bang for buck.
