8 seater minibus, packed with 17(!) people from kratie to stumg treng. here 3 hrs wait for connecting bus. then to laos border. visa on arrival: $35. i paid $40 at embassy and had to add $2 for the stamp. welcome to laos. then told there's no bus to pakse. go with the rest of group to island of don det. unexpectadly beautiful, although packed with partying backpackers. bummer, without those, this place would be heaven. one of 4000 (aledgedly) islands in mekong river.
