No one up until after 8 hence left money minus breakie cash on bed and took cab to bus station. Van to tbilisi immediately left. Fair enough ride but rainy. Arrived at ortachala in tbilisi, quite a ride at end of town. Straight to train station to get ticket to baku and got one (lucky?). Lunch, cafe and vodka at acid bar. Georgeous waitress! Now onboard o/n train, standing still at border for hours. Room mate speaks some french, next door neighbour is a entertain...

Ok breakfast. Back into town. Checked out vernissage market and few other artsy joints. National gallery after lunch. Remind me to only visit contemporary art exhibits from now on. Some 10 yr police commemoration at opera house stopped me from going inside. Overall a small but very nice city. Called home to check on mum's eyelid condition and to calm the waters. All fine. Agreed to 8 o'clock breakie. Decided to get new edition lp on central asia, speedy downlo...

Bus ride via sevan lake to yerevan. Much warmer here and spring atmosphere. Ok guesthouse little out of town but close to metro. Exploring city by long walk. Some very fancy atchitecture and great cafe scene. Lovely parks and beautiful opera house. Met young boris guesthouse owner, just as fancy as most show off yerevanis.
