Well that’s it then - the final day of our holiday as tomorrow sees us going to the airport and home.
After the peace and quiet of Fiji with such laid back people and stunning scenery with very few other folk around this was always going to be different. It certainly is.
Went for a walk first thing and then on one of the old, famous Star ferries across to the island of Hong Kong. The humidity was sapping and so we went over to the south of the island to Aberdeen and Stanley the latter described to us as ‘rural’ and with ‘character’. Nice to get out of the big city and the hustle but to be honest it was still heaving with people and the traffic was epic! Loads of visiting Chinese mainland tourists being shouted at by their travel reps and following the old follow me notice on a selfie stick.
Came back to the city and on to the Mong Kok area to sample the street markets but to be honest we just ran out of steam in the heat and the crowds. Now back in the hotel room with our view over Victoria harbour. Time for a swim and then get ready for dinner we reckon.
