We woke up today with the room lights slowly coming on as the alarm sounded, we had decided to use the hotel alarm built in to the bedside table (very snazzy). I must say for an airport hotel it was lovely and the staff could not have been friendlier. After checking out we went to the local convience store for some breakfast and found some cossiants with sugar on top! Not that heathly but they were tastey and cheaper than going to any of the hotel restaurants.
Time to tackle the Japanese trains to make our way to the hotel in the centre. A quick shuttle bus back to the airport to get the express train in to the city. Relatively straight forward in the end and staff were so helpful, Ant was just pleased all his research had paid off!
Once off the train we started walking to the hotel, while we were checking the map a lady on a bike stopped. She asked if we needed help and pointed us in the direction of the hotel, just to be nice! On finding the hotel we were allowed to check in early, we had a tiny room and a bathroom similar to that installed in a caravan. Despite the size it was clean and good to take our rucksacks off. We adventured out for a walk around the local area and found a Burger king for lunch (very exciting). Today was a relaxing and settling in day so after some time in the hotel we popped out to a local noodle restauant and ordered some dinner, luckily the waiter had an english menu although we could just use the plastic food examples to order from!
