So Day two in Vegas started out like another day... But by the end of it... My holiday will be changed
Got up at 8am needed a good sleep!
Headed to the breakfast buffet... Now the buffet was at least 25 Mtrs long! There was fish, chicken, salads, cereals, bread, waffles and pastries... Then it got weird there was donuts, jelly (not jam-jelly) and ice-cream!!! Odd but hang on I'm in the USA!
Well after breakfast we headed up to the stratsphere

For $34 you can go up the tower and ride the three rides on the top... This is where it's awesome...!!
The Big Shot (it's like the Batwing Spaceshot at Movie World), Insanity and X-SCREAM. These are THE HIGHEST THRILL RIDES IN THE WORLD!!!

Then I decided to face a huge leap, you can literally jump of the Stratsphere under a controlled free fall.
SkyJump Las Vegas holds the Guinness World Record for highest commercial decelerator descent with an official height of 829 ft (253 m) and is located at Stratosphere Las Vegas. As part of its grand opening event, Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman presented a written proclamation deeming April 20, 2010 as SkyJump Day in Las Vegas.

Well now I was pumped after landing I was soooo running on adrenaline we headed over to the outlet mall to do some shopping, really not much to report there lots of shops got some nice new dress shirts.
Now seriously the following events happened I still kinda can't believe it myself!!
Earlier in the morning I had heard that Dennis Rodman
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki?search=Dennis+rodman
Had been inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame! And he was going to be in Vegas for one night and there was a Sports Memorabilia in the Miracle Mile shopping centre that is under the Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino he was going to be there for a signing till 7pm
So I have arrived at about 3:55pm because it starts at 4pm and I walk in ad the shops no where near as busy as it should be... I was thinking I had the wrong store or date or something... Then a lady came over to me and asked If I was here to meet Dennis Rodman, I told her I was, she picked up that I was Australian and asked if I came here to see Dennis, I told her that I was in town on a Contiki tour and just wanted to meet someone famous while I was in town. She told me that Dennis was delayed as he missed his plane in LA because he was so caught up in the press junket that was there for his Hall Of Fame Presentation. She told me that she was working on having a couple people from the VIP area in Planet Hollywood come down and do some signings for the store. She said if I wanted to stay I could meet them and get there autographs (for a cost of course) I waited for what felt like forever and then through the back of the shop came three huge security guards at first I thought they were the celebrities like NFL stars! But when they parted in walked Billy Joel, Robin Williams and Nicolas Cage, my jaw dropped because two of these I am huge fans of!! I didn't get much time to talk to them but f*** it was awesome!! It was easily one of the top highlights of this trip.
After that we went to a place called Cheeseburger and when I started telling people what happen the tour manager flipped out, he is a huge fan of Billy Joel and he even said he would ditch us to stalk him (I kinda think he was serious)
After dinner we went and watched a show in the V Thetre it was pretty awesome! We headed then straight outside to some Stretch-Hummers and had a cruise up and down the Strip till we stopped outside Ceasers Palace, tonight was the night that we got into the top club in Vegas called Pure, when we got off the bus I decided I wanted to explore the strip a little more because I hadn't done it the night before. So went back to the room and changed so that I was more comfy. Hooked up with the Monorail at our hotel and went down to the MGM Grand and started to make my way up the strip.
I stopped outside of New York, New York to stop and take some pictures of the Statue Of Liberty that when I looked down and saw a tribute to the heroes of September 11, behind glass were shirts stained with blood and dirt these were shirts worn by Police, Fire and Ambulance Was very moving more so because it's ten years later...
All I did then really was walked around the strip and finally at around 4 am went to bed and had to get up at 6am to meet the bus :-S for Bass Lake and Yosemite National Park!!
Sorry guys this took so long its been a busy few days... I'll write the bass lake blog on our way to San Fran and post it later today too
Ciao!
