Time to redeem. Today's schedule was a huge windy drive through a national park to reach an area known as gorges du tarn. A stretch of tiny villages that follow the tarn river through the Cevennes national park. All amazing places in their own right however, one of the more famous of these villages was Castelbouc, a tiny village set into the cliff face. The photos explain how this works better than I can, it was simply breathtaking. After hours of windy roads and spontaneous pull overs at the most scenic of villages we made our way to remote Grezes, the site of our next b&b. The difficulty in reaching it was only matched by the beauty of the place and its location. Set on the highest point of this tiny village, the view spanned out for miles. And what a way to enjoy this than in the spa, dirty as it may have been, we kept our gaze out wide and afterwards celebrated Bastille day with a picnic of leftover supplies. At this point in time our budget allows us to live most of the day off the free b&b breakfast, then lunch and dinner is a sandwich of whatever hasn't expired from the heat of the car that day. Good times.
