Today we left Shannon & Freddie's in aix les bains and drove about 350kms south to provence, where we stopped in at old towns such as Valensole, and saw the lavender fields in the national park du verdon. Most of the day was taken up by driving but we did manage to head up into the mountains and see some amazing views of the huge gorge, which is the largest canyon in Europe!
After a quick swim in the huge manmade lake at the bottom of the gorge, we trekked to our accommodation for the night in a b&b in a tiny country town (check out the map on our blog) where Ant accidentally stole the room key (we're going to post it back to him... Honest!)
