Living here is like living in the past. The houses are all attached, like rows of townhouses? all very tiny, generic and multicolored. They are built with faded brick walls, and mostly broken windows.People drive on the 'wrong' side of the road, and on the 'wrong' side of the car. The roads are designed very slim, just enough to squeeze two tiny cars.Cars have to park on top of the sidewalk, because there is not enough room on the road. There is also dog poop everywhere!! They do not clean up their dog poop - its gross.People are not overly friendly, teens are gothic, fish & chips stores everywhere, as well as the "Chinese & English take out restaurants". Fast food is at least 50cents-$2 more than what it would cost in Canada, so we've been buying bread and cheese from the grocery store, haha.
The weather is very dreary, and it's been raining these last two days.We went to the city centre yesterday, and checked out the Albert Dock and Anglican Cathedral. So tonight is the last night, and we are off to Newcastle upon Tyne tomorrow to visit his relatives.
