Hey Guys,
Sounds like the adventures continue with much gusto and enthusiasum.
Am enjoying the various tales of much trekking and the various food eating that goes on.
The transport sounds like ther is much to be desired but fun all the same.
One must have aptience in these parts of the world as things will be done in their time!
Provides me with a much needed giggle now and then in the hectic office.
Soon you will be on to the bits I know!
Cheerio!

Looks like Dave has sur parsed himself once more
While you may have seen the romance from Ian's posting, you've missed Botham's increasing obsessive interest in Blackie's honeymoon, not a pretty sight

Fella and Sheila,
Seems the eclectic mix of encounters is only rivalled by the dehli belly (make sure you wash your hands, apparently us brits are worst at this: http://www2.netdoctor.co.uk/news/index.asp?y=2004&m=3&d=8&id=109127
)
Some topical news to help with idle banter with the local drunks:
"Genghis Khan may get protection"

Really enjoying the tales of escape, keep it up!!

Hi Guys,
Good to hear you are still hanging in there! Sounds like a massive adventure all round! Hope you got over sickness Dave...take it easy. News is we are now officially home owners (well joined the mortgage club) - now all completed and exchanged and move in tomorrow just in time for our lease to finish. Yay!
Take care and sounds like you're having a great time.
Cheers Anne & Jase
Hi Guys,
sounds like the trip is a blast!! Not sure where the hell half these places are that youre talking about is, but now I know I guess...sounds great.
Am glad to hear Dave is surviving the rocky, noisy trains, but am not sure about taking private cars to small villages...too many emissions - local bus for you guys!!
Annie - need to give Dave the elbow from the keyboard, haven't heard much from you, hope you're having an ace time!!
Cheers Anne & Jase

How much did the haircut cost???

Central heating? You're making me shiver - and it's a beautiful warm sunny day here in London without a cloud in sight...
Loving the blog: I'm now dying to find out whether weddings are 'in season' in Mongolia too. It's a shame the Chavrolet Tuk Tuk in Brighton had to be repainted after pressure from Burberry - sounds like some of those Russian brides may have enjoyed a ride in it.
Dave, you'll be impressed to hear that I managed to have a conversation about Baltica lager down at Canterbury on Sunday - Marcus is a bit of a connoisseur about these things after years of watching Wales play in obscure parts of the world so you'll be able to compare testing notes with him at the MCG on Boxing Day!

I have to stop laughing now! My colleagues keep telling me to pipe down and stop giggling.
Am greatly enjoying the blog, the stories and the tips on how to survive train travel.
Further to your tips on ways to sleep on trains I found ear plugs work wonders as well.
We had a crazy 29 degree day here yesterday - hottest Sep day on record. But now we have 11 for the weekend so very up and down. Will be getting cold there soon so rug up and hopefully the central heating will be on in the places you visit further north.
Looking forward to catching up when you get here in Dec!
Best wishes
Kate

Forgot to mention that we survived the Bala Tri this past weekend. MJ posted a slightly sub 3:00 time and MM clocked in at 3:06. With your spare time on deck during your crossing to Oz you can kick start your training for Salford 07.

Fine entertainment before bedtime on a Monday evening. Keep up the witty banter, Dave. An give your wife an elbow to get at the keyboard, too! You must post pics soon as I'd like to see how much you're actually carrying if you had room for the Pot Noodle and a sub-collection from your library. Great to hear that you're having a cosmopolitan experience in Russia and that you got off safely.
