Hi everyone, I´m in southern Argentina now, in a small town called Calafate that is the gateway to the Perito Moreno Glacer. My time in Buenos Aires went by so fast! I think I was much too relaxed and felt like I had plenty of time to hang out, but then two days ago, when I was planning this trip to Patagonia with Guingui´s travel agent we realized that I really had no time left to waste at all! A trip down here requires at least a week, and it takes a full day to get to Santiago by bus, which left me a day to plan my trip, buy all the tickets, and pack! But I was super lucky, got a flight, and now I´m in Patagonia! I´m so excited to see the Perito Moreno Glacier, it is supposed to be one of the most active in the world and I saw pics from Guingui´s trip and they are so beautiful. After Calafate I´m going to El Chalten, the base camp for climbers of Fitz Roy...which, don´t worry, I´m not at all attempting to climb=) I just want to hike around the area, which is supposed to be another treasure trove of outdoor scenery. So I´m very happy to be back in the outdoors again, not that I didn´t like Buenos Aires, but it was sooo big. I was only able to take half day trips to explore the city because I would start to feel a little claustrophobic. However this made for very nice days there because I would run in the morning, hang out at the pool on top of Guingui´s building, have lunch, then go explore a new neighborhood, come back relax until Guingui came back from work, then go out with Guingui and her friends for dinner or drinks. Nice life huh? Anyone want to join me? Please do=)
