Arrived in at Heho at 9.15 as scheduled, and met our pre-arranged pick-up to take us the hour journey to our hotel (Princess Garden Hotel just out of Nyaungshwe). Nyaungshwe is a little village near Inle lake where we would be basing ourselves over the next few days. After getting ourselves together, and putting our bags in my room, as James and Fiona's room wasn't available yet, we took ourselves into the village for a look round. Nyaungshwe is a bustling community, but as expected, a number of its inhabitants earn money through the tourist trade from people who come to visit the nearby Inle lake. During the rest of the day we visited the market, which rotates every 5 days to different towns in the area around the lake. We were fortunate that Nyaungshwe was hosting the market today, which swelled the market area to 3x its normal size.
