Hi again!

I just finished stuffing my face with watermellon. Mmmmm....

On Friday Deoh and I met up with his aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents at the June Festival. It´s a little celebration one of the elementary schools put on. His cousins were in it. They were dressed in traditional clothes... so cute! I´m not sure what I tried, but it was awesome! It was an apple on a stick dipped in this red, sugar glaze. My diabetes hates me.

Last night we went with his mom and the rest of the family out to eat at this really nice restuarant in a town called Cacmaçaria. I sampled a few drinks (pictures to come soon). We stayed out until around 12. His family is so friendly, I just wish I understood their conversations.

After we went back to his grandma´s house and got ready for bed. Well, atleast I did. I wasn´t in the mood to drink. Deoh along with his aunt and uncle had a few shots of tequila. Needless to say, we all slept in pretty well.

This morning we woke up at around noon. I loved it. It was the first day I really got to sleep in as long as I wanted. I´m kinda lazy.
I had a little breakfast and we left to go fishing. We went fishing in a town called Ribeirinho. It was kind of cheating... because the ponds are stocked. We fished with a long piece of bamboo with a string tied to the end. Which made it kind of hard to actually catch fish. But it was fun anyways. They had fish to eat, but i´m kind of a picky eater, so when I kept getting little bones in my mouth, I said enough. I had rice and beans instead.

His grandma is going to to paint me a picture of a flower. Her work is soooo amazing, and i´m so excited. I picked out a painting box (? I forgot what it´s called haha) and I really hope everything fits in my suitcases.

We were going to hang out with his friends tonight, but his best friend Angie is sick. So we´re just hanging out around the house. We´re going to watch Miss Universe to see who´s country wins :) I actually don´t even think Miss America is that pretty this year.

I read my tickets wrong, and I will actually arrive back home a day later than planned....so I requested to change it, and I am hoping to hear back from STA tomorrow. I think the travel insurance I bought covers the extra fees.
