Arrived in Auckland yesterday morning at 4.30am. Due to the time difference we missed a whole day! Lefted Chile 11.25pm Thursday and are now here on Saturday morning. Feels so strange. Especially as the flight was only 12 hrs. Got to the hostel, and Wow it is so big. Over 600 rooms, a travel agent, internet area of about 50 computers, massive common area, tv rooms, big kitchen, etc etc. Sorry to go on but after the small hostels in south america this is like a 5 star play house. It also has a bar on the 6th floor and a night club on the ground floor. Would like to say I have tried them out but due to jet lag I didn't make it. I went up to my dorm about 7pm and feel asleep, didn't wake up until 2am this morning, probably a bit late to get up and go out. Though tonight I will be trying both bars. Auckland is really nice. Not too busy, but if you ask a New Zelander from the country they would say it was busy. But compared to places like La Paz, New York, London, this place is quiet. Had a walk round yesterday. The weather was beautiful so we decided that today we would go on a boat ride across to the island Waiheke, it rainned most of the day today!! Great! Lovely island but would have been more fun looking at the lovely beaches in the sun. There are some strange people in New Zeland! And they have all decided to speak to us. Long story, but I'll keep you up to date on all the weirdo's!!
