Hola!

After a long flight (with an amazing array of films to choose from!) we arrived safely in Lima! Driving through Lima to our hostel was quite a culture shock as the area surrounding Lima is full of shanty towns and is pretty run down. We arrived at our hostel and were greeted by two parrots, four tortoises, a dog and a cat! The hostels amazing and we feel like we´re sleeping in an art gallery! Have spent a couple of days wondering round central Lima which is full of the most amazing buildings which you literally just stumble upon! We took a day trip to the beach at Miras Flores and managed to get ourselves a little sunburnt but recovered with una cerveza!! Heading to Barranco today where we will stay until saturday when we start our two week trek!! Its meant to be quite a Bohemian area full of artists and mucisians, so looking forward to it.! Already learning lots of spanish, its no exagguration to say we will be returning fluent en Espanolaaaaa!
As you can tell from all our exclamation marks we are having a wonderful time, MUCHO GUSTA LIMA!!!!!!
