Anna in Europe
We ended up taking a taxi to Bran castle, which saved us about half and hour compared to the bus. Although the driving was a bit manic. The scenery between Brasov and Bran was beautiful - mountains, farms and hills. Beneath Bran castle there are loads of touristy stalls selling mainly Dracula souvenirs. We headed straight for the castle. The castle was very pretty, with all the rooms furnished in various styles. From the castle we had a walk round the 'Village Museum'. Then we took the bus back to Brasov, which dumped us god-knows-where (somewhere off our map), so we had to find our way back to the centre. When we eventually got there, we headed out for dinner. The meal was very tasty, but unfortunately the waiter manage to drop Marc's food...I managed to catch the chicken kiev, but the rest ended up in my lap. After our meal, we took a walk around the city wall, stopping at the 'Black Tower' and 'Warthe Tower' - both good view points of the gorgeous city of Brasov, which was definitely the highlight of this trip.
