Last Night in SD Although it has been very cloudy and not the Californian sun we wanted we have had a fab time in San Diego. Last nights 4th July fireworks were amazing - some of the largest, brightest and loudest I have ever seen - very patriotic. Today we visited the old town and seen the Spanish and Mexican influence on this part of the country. Lots of margaritas, tacos and buritos! Yum! San Diego So we got to San Diego safely after a really easy drive from Vegas. The room at the Westin in the Gaslamp Quarter is gorgeous, you can buy the bed sheets for $3000!!! The room and hotel is fantastic, but $3000 for sheets, wow! Ater we settled in we took a little stroll down to 5th Avenue, food and resturant central. We were starving but stopped off at the Gaslamp Tavern for a drink, after Vix had drunk a glass of Calafornian Zinfandel and 2 Cantalo...

Right is Right!! This is the only way I remebered to stay on the righthand side of the road!!! It was actually quite easy, after the panic of getting out of Vegas Airport and onto Interstate 15 it was more or less a straight road. We stopped off at Baker (just off the I15) for burger and chips in a diner for lunch. Onwards to San Diego.
