Since we last updated our journal we have been........ to the blue mountains. WE have seen the three sisiters, climed the giant stairway and walked throught the forest, before taking the scenic railway back to the top. Joey came along with us (andy's friend we met up with in sydney) had a high lightning storm which caused a power cut a few times for much of the evening. There was a dog just like molly in the hostel we stayed in and he like molly was really scared of the thunder.

Once back in Sydney we went back to spend 3 more nights in Bondi, chilling on the beach. We had been informed that the day before when we were at the blue mountains they had to evacuate the sea due to a shark spotting. Dispit this we went in the water on our first day back in bondi and we both ended up getting stung by jelly fish (blue bottles) but we were brave and no tears were shed.

After 3 days on the beach we went to visit Kiran (lisa's work friend who recently imigrated to Oz with hr family) we had a really good day. we went on a boat round to darling harbour in central sydney and had some lunch in a resturant on the harbour. we then went to Hornsby to see where she was living and spent the later part of the afternoon there before having dinner cooked for us.

The following day we got up bright and early and caught the bus to a place called Arawwara. we spent the afternoon and evening at surf camp. we had a surfing lesson and then got to spend some time practicing Lisa's new skills. I (lisa) even managed to stand up on the board. We were due to have dinner and then head to the beach for a party but the heavens opened, so it was early to bed.

We got to Byron bay 5 nights ago and have been staying at a place called Belongil beach. it used to b part of a hippy commune. We have spent the days relaxing on the beach and even had a little 3 month old puppy to look after for half a. Yestreday we went on a trip to Nimbin, a hippy town, where everyone is completed stoned and eating the hash cookies. it's kind of legal there!!!! Some people couldn't resist trying the cookies and on the way back on the bus were looking a bit green.

we off to surfers paradise today, just for 2 nights before heading off to brisban and visiting Australia zoo.
