Hello again
Hope everyone is well! Sorry it's Monday morning, we forgot!
We're still having a great time. We finally moved from Cape Town last Tuesday and have spent the week travelling along the Garden Route (the coast). We took the Intercape Bus to Mossel Bay which Ali loved! It had 150o reclining chairs and tonnes of leg room! It was great!
Mossel Bay was lovely. It was very slow moving but very relaxing! However we did have clouds! We weren't impressed! And it did rain at one point, we were tempted to leave! There are more photos on the other camera of us in Mossel Bay but we forgot the memory card today! Oops! Staying on the train was very exciting, and novel, so much so we stayed for 4 nights! We also got ambushed by Dassies (the giant hamsters) when we went to the Point (not the NTU student union) which consists of waves, surfers, a cave, a lighthouse and abit of hiking! We went to the Dias Museum Complex and saw the Old Post Tree. Legend has it that a sailor left a message in a boot tied to a tree and another sailor found it, which then started a trend and you can now post your own letters in the tree!
We then moved onto Plettenberg Bay which is where the rich and famous once lived! Although they moved out when they heard we were coming! We took the comfortable and reasonably priced Intercape again and are staying in the best backpackers lodge in SA, the Nothando Backpackers! It's run by an SA family and is lovely. White linen sheets, fresh towels, clean showers! It's great! Although Ali managed to flood the bathroom on the first day! Can't take her anywhere!
We're in the middle of the town and the beach is only a 10 minute walk, although it is down a Mountain (steep hill) which is fine on the way down but it's a different matter when trying to tackle it on the way back after a hard days work on the beach!
We're moving to Port Elizabeth tomorrow and hoping to do a safari later in the week. We'll keep you posted and try and upload the missing photos later in the week (hopefully).
Speak soon, Love A & A xxxxxxxx
