Hello, everyone :)
Well, I think I'll start this last blog with what a drunken gentleman told me the night before me and Harry left for home "it would take more than a lifetime to learn this world", for a drunk dude, I thought this was pretty pro-found an a really nice quote to leave my travels on.
Right, so last week, in the States...what did we do? Well, suprisingly we actually did take things pretty easy! I have to admit it was pretty nice doing this atually because I don't think I've EVER been on a family holiday where we just sit and relax and if I do, I normally feel really guilty.
We had a HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE lie in our first day which was nice! But the following day we really settled in to the Colorado life-style by climbing a 13,000 ft mountain, which was probably one of the most challenging things I've done in these 4 months! Of course not for the family we were doing it with, who do things like this all the time! An A-MA-ZING view at the top, surreal though, as you can actually only see the rocky mountains for a certain distance before everything goes flaaaast.
In the evening we were invited around to friends of the family we were staying with, where we had an awesomee dinner and then read a radio play, which was really good fun as it's something neither me or Harry have ever done before. You're all basically given characters and have to read the script in a rather melo-dramatic manner! :) It was definitely a good night!
Another day we did a thing called 'tubing', where we were given rubber rings and went down stream in them. I t was painful. There were jagged rocks. Alas, fun all the same was had by all :)
We also were taken to cool little run-down villages and this amazing canyon when we were, but most of our time was filled with bike rides an excitement for coming HOME!
The family we were staying with were family friends of Harry's mum's and honestly were some of the lovliest people we have met along our way :) really awesome.
Home now and it's weird how quickly I've settled back, it honestly feels like I've never been away, considering how much time I spent getting excited about coming home.
It really has been 4 amazingly incredible months! I've done such a vast amount, it definitely makes ALL the work worth it and although I am still very tired, I'm glad to be home :) It's actually making me really sad thinking about it and I've done too many things to chose a favorite but I'm sure I'll be BORING you all for a long time to come.
Thanks a lot for reading and thanks a lot for all contributions.
TAKE CARE EVERYONE, thanks again.
Andrew :)
