Yoh! Hope everyone is OK...I don't have muchos time, so I'll keep this shor and sweet.
TRAVELING ALONE IS AWESOME! I've had a brilliant week meeting loads of new people from all different parts of the world with lots of different stories to tell...okay, glad that's out there.
I'm currenlty in Laos, from when I left my Mum and rob and Matt at the bus station I took two busses, two planes, two trains, a taxi, an overnight bus, a tuk-tuk and two busses. Understandably I slept for the whole day after two days of travelling...it was manic but briliant to arrive. In the evening I went to a Korean BBQ with the people in my dorm which was cool (2 Candadian girls, a german dude and an English dude). The next day was raining so I just went for a wander around the city looking at temples etc. In all honesty the capital, Vientiane, wasn't the MOST exciting place in the world but it was an easy way to settle in.
On my second night, I met a girl named Pippa who had been travelling for 6 months. She and her friend, Amy, invited me to join them on an elephant trek the next day in a town called Ban Na , about an hour outside of the city. We didn't see any elephants but we got to sleep in a treehouse in the jungle which was AWESOME. This was for two days and a night and I really enjoyed it and will hopefully be seeing the two of them again next month in Cambodia.
I then made my way to where I am now...Vang Vieng...and this place is fanatastic! We currenlty have a little group of 9 of us and everyone is really cool. The night we arrived we went for a bike ride and I straight away preferred it to the city! Then the next two days we went tubing....BELIEVE THE HYPE AND MORE! It is SO much fun. This is where you g along the Mekong River in a rubber ring and go to different bars and play games etc with other travelers. It rained quite heavily at one point but no-one cared becuase your getting wet from the river anyway....awwww yeah.
Today is my last full day inb Vang Vieng. We went to a blue lagoon today and also went caving, which was cool...dark but cool. The blue lagoon was as expected: blue and a lagoon but was so nice to go and chill out by and just a really good day.
Tomorrow I'm heading to Paske where I'm going to check out some massive waterfalls.
Awwww yeeeee
Take care one and all :)
