Harry and I had a rare chilled out morning drinking coffee and reading the paper in a local cafe whilst Charlie entertained herself in the obligatory cafe play area [largely by pointing at birdies]. After Charlie's nap we headed back to Narrow Neck to our old landlords who was having a bbq in celebration of his 40th birthday. It was very nice but I was a little on edge the whole time. Most of the other children there were 6ish and all of them wanted Charlie to be their little doll which C was delighted by. Harry and I had to take turns hanging out in the kids room and talking to the grown ups... then we had a massive fright, Harry couldn't find Charlie. It was a horrible moment but she was quickly found playing with the other girls.
In the evening I had to leave for my girlie night out, it was hard saying goodbye to C especially as I could hear her crying as I walked down the road. She was fine soon after and Harry put her to bed no problems. I had a good time and was able to relax knowing C was safely tucked up in bed. We went to the Britomart area which is quite trendy lots of distressed sofas and stags heads on walls, one bar even had a pitch and putt! It is definitely a small world one of the girls I met was also from Chester, same school year and it turns out her Mum ran Telfords when Annie and I frequented there.
