Home again - quite nights - sleep - no doors banging.....ahhhhhh

Going away make me appreciate being at home, my travels have taken me from here to Thailand, north and south, Singapore, and in Oz, Tasmania and Sydney - Melbourne in passing!

Likes - loved the history of places like Singapore , Port Arthur and Sydney. Enjoyed seeing some of the places that I never thought that I would see. Very proud of myself that I completed the trek in Chiang Mai, had I known how hard that was going to be I would not have even considered it. Being thought of as great (by other 50 plus's for travelling as a single at my age.

Dislikes - The feeling of being thought of as a bit odd by gap years kids - for single travelling at my age. Hobart for Phone cards which I couldn't get to work, expensive internet cafes, and closing at 6pm! Feeling uneasy drinking/eating in a bar in the evening as a single woman. Cost of travelling (even buses) in Oz. Hanging about waiting, sometimes for hours, for connecting flights, buses, and ferries. Time differences.

Disappointments - the rescue centre in Samui, it was a shame that I wasn't happy about the conditions of getting involved with it.

Loves - landing at Gatwick and getting home........after a very long journey
