Its been a while since Ive written anything... sorry. I've moved to Hammersmith now in W4 which is about an hour tubing from Kilburn where I was before. Im working as a trainee office manager in Chiswick Park at the moment. It's a pretty cool job actually :) We've just had Guy Fawkes and Halloween in the last couple of weeks so all I ahve been able to hear at night until and sometimes past midnight is various fireworks aaaalllll night. It was great at first but my sleeping pattern has been shot to pieces along with my temper in the mornings. They take it all pretty seriously out here so the festivities have been high.
Im living in another Hostel called Abercorne House. It looks like a housing project from Detroit actually. In one of the bathrooms the floor is about to cave in. But it is half the price of the last one and Lauren and Rikard are both there so I have a lot of fun once I get home from work. And best of all there are plenty of bars, pubs and shops in Hammersmith. It's a really nice area even if it is a little bit out of the way.
London is getting very very very cold now. I haven't seen the sun in days! It gets down to about 1-2 degrees at night and in the day (or whats supposed to be daytime) it ranges between 10-16 degrees if your lucky. I have become a glutton for Starbucks! When Lauren gets home from work we go and have a coffee there two or three nights a week. I also had my first bagel last week! I thought bagels where only in America but there is a store on nearly every street here in London as well. They are pretty good actually, not to mention a little bit healthier than Maccas!
Christmas is looking to be fun. If I dont go on my tour a few friends and I are going to trek it to Amsterdam or Paris. I really want to go to Prague and Berlin in the next six months too. That's my aim anyway. Even if I dont I am still discovering London at the moment anyway so I am far from bored during the week even if it does get dark at 5 in the afternoon. I was never a big beach person but God I would give anything for a sunburn right now after a long day in the hot sun and sea water. Actually I would settle for just a glimpse of the sun. Some people I know are definately getting SAD syndrome (yes it's actually a medical term) Seasonal Affective Disorder I think it stands for. I haven't been affected too much but then again it's not even really winter just yet.
Well I'll try to keep more up to date and put up some more pictures. Ciao!
