Amy's Travels 2006
I don't even know where to begin with this entry as I have had some of the craziest days of my life. Noosa is by far one of the most beautiful places I have been and I have truly fell in love with the place. It is where the rich and famous of Australia head but isn't so glitsy and built up as places like St Tropez. It has beautiful beaches and the most gorgeous national park. We have seen dolphins surfacing in the bay while we have been sunbathing on the beach!
Lots of partying has been done here. We met a group of Irish guys who are living out their camper van and hung out with them for a few days. They introduced us to the delights of 'passion pop' a syrup-type drink which makes you very happy but very hung over too! We hit the passion pop for 3 nights in a row and still suffering from it now but the beautiful environment has certainly made the pain a lot easier to deal with.
One story that I will share with you all is the meeting of a local Australian guy by the name of 'Tbone'. This guy is a bit of a fruit loop and only has one eye. He ventures to the hostel bar we are staying in every night and does a dance routine by himself to Madonna and such, that everyone in the bar kind of has to watch and he dances kosak stle with crazy jumps and scary girations IN OUR DIRECTION!! ARGH! Quite a few people came up to me and said 'Ooo se has taken a bit of liking to you' (nooooooo)!! HE offered me to dance and I politely refused, although the guy sitting next to me offered to dance with him and Tbone freaked out a bit and consequently knocked over a friend's jug of beer. Was quite a pilava!
We also went to Australia Zoo. You have no idea how excited I was about this, especially as its home to Steve-o Irwin, of crocodile hunter fame. We petted koalas and kangaroos, fed an elephant and saw so many cool cool animals like wombats, crocodiles, camels and snakeys!! I was quite gutted not to have met the main attraction, Steve himself but I got a pic with his cardboard cut out!
I don't think I could write a journal entry that can sum up the amount of fun I have had here in Noosa and the amazing people we have met here (We have met freaks too... I mean REALLY freaky people, I even got the nickname 'freak magnet' from out surrogate father, JP from the netherlands!) but if you are EVER in australia you have to come here!! We are off to Fraser Island next to get maulled by some Dingo's and drive a 4x4... jesus!!
