Thursday 17 September
I wake before the alarm and decide to work on my blog. It doesn't take long to get ready and packed. I have some stomach cramps and I heard some other mentioned it and I'm a little worried about getting sick.
We meet downstairs by 7am. It's -1 according to iPhone. The bus is here and we get aboard and head to the train station. The train is waiting so we get straight on. This is probably the most basic train so far. We get settled and wait. It's cold, even on the train. After the first stop we have a late breakfast and then I have a nap for a few hours. I didn't realise I was so tired. It's going to be a late night with the boarder crossing starting at 6-7pm and lasting till midnight at least with the wheel changes as well. Late in the afternoon we have a quiz. It feels like there is so much I don't know.
The border crossings and wheel changes are slow, but immigration seems to move more swiftly. Our cabin has great hilarious chats about life, relationships and family. After china has taken our passports we get ready for bed. Malcolm isn't feeling so great. Probably getting what I had in st Petersburg. Thankfully we get our passports back before I fall asleep. Then I can relax. The wheel changing is a noisy, creaking process and sometimes feels like my bed is being twisted.
