We have to leave by 10 am. There is a basic breakfast downstairs. Once left we walk to the train station. It's good timing and we don't have to wait too long before catching our train. We have to change trains at empoli. But the trip isn't too long at all. The map tells us to walk through the mall but it's not clear. We buy some pizza for lunch and then keep going. Siena seems a very hilly city. We wind up and down and eventually reach the b&b. the mother of the man who runs it meets us and we are soon settled in. I'm surprised to see a well equipped kitchen and a washing machine! We just relax and then go for a short walk to buy some groceries. When we get back it's dark and we set about to make a lasagna of sorts. It's really good! We decide to do some washing. The poor machine sounds very clunky and doesn't spin the clothes very well. But we get them washed and hung out.
