Tuesday 17 November
Our neighbours are very rowdy. But I wasn't asleep. Unfortunately. We get up. Malcolm gets breakfast and I try to complete my Indian visa with the help of dad via FaceTime. With that sorted i can eat and get ready to leave. We head out to see a few sights before joining a free walking tour. It's a bit grey and cloudy. We get to the meeting place early so we look around. This church also is prison coloured with it's stripy dark green and white marble! We get approached by a few different ppl wanting to get money for various things, but we manage to fend them off. The tour guide is a local and a little scruffy but we are soon on our way. He knows a lot and takes us on a journey through the renascence era. After the tour we rest a bit and then walk around and across the bridge, up the winding hill to the Michelangelo plaza! It's the most lovely view of the countryside. We climb higher to the church. I love Tuscany! It's magical. We walk down and up another hill lined with olive trees and stone walls. We can't get into the garden at the top without paying 10€ each so we give it pass. We see two ladies from our walking tour. They too don't want to pay the money but want a view. We advise then of the Michelangelo plaza and give them directions. Then we again head down the hill to a palace. We sit on the slope and watch time pass and Africans trying to con ppl and how they respond. At last we walk back to the hotel via the lindt store. I check the creation section and still no raspberry dream. Brightly coloured pizza catches our eyes and we indulge. It's good. We eat a cup of couscous when we get back. It's just a relaxing evening. Malcolm goes for a walk and takes more photos.
