Finally another hostel with wifi! The 7 hour bus ride today had wifi but the last two hostels had issues.
I posted pics of the ferry; as you can see it was like a luxury cruise. All it needed was a swimming pool and shower and I would have hid on it for days!!
Arriving in Belfast I did not think I'd like Ireland. This is the most run down place I have been so far with a number of tattoo and cheque cashing stores. Everything has bars and shuts down early. Here though is where I met the best people so far and I ended up staying an extra night.
Chen is a young girl from Israel who I ended up friends with the first morning there. We ended up visiting the Peace Wall and learning some history. In trying to find it we actually happened to ask a guy who was in the war. He said we could go on either side and be safe but he could not go. Being spoiled in Canada this is not the easiest thing for me to wrap my brain around. The wall is about 1.5 miles long, around 12 feet high and painted over and over with some beautiful graffiti.
That night after dinner we met a group of regulars at the hostel, learned to play s***head and experienced our first UK pub; I think there was 8 of us all together. The next morning was rough as Chen (pronounced Hen but I can't do it right, Avi could though lol), Julia from Austria and I did a tour to the north. We saw the rope bridge, Bushill distillery (not the tour), and giant causeway, which was really amazing.
That night we got back to the hostel and the people from the night before made a huge meal for everyone. They very kindly waited for Chen and I to grab me some veggies and then even cooked me a little separate meal. Eight or nine of us sat down to a nice meal with the table set and a cheers over glasses of wine. It was really nice and made me miss my family dinners even more!! It was really nice and everyone ate until they were stuffed and then had dessert and some more laughs.
This morning I jumped on the bus to go though Dublin and on to Cork. There is a girl, Catherine, from Nova Scotia in my room and it turns out we are booked into the same hostel for the next two nights in Killarney. She has invited me to join her in the morning for a quick trip to the Blarney Stone and then off to the hostel so it'll be another early morning

Lori Sounds like you're having a blast! Glad to hear your cold is not a bother any more, and that the food issue isn't as much of a challenge as I thought it would be. Love the pics, keep them coming. Love Auntie Lori and Uncle Al
