g'day all.... hope everyone had a very merry christmas, it still feels very strange here, like everything is flying by at lightspeed pace, and nothing felt remotely like christmas without my crazy family around me!

So what have I been up to....Christmas eve was messy, as you will see by the awful photos of me in the ree christmas hat! ended up in side bar at wake up hostel...AGAIN I am seriously getting sick of that place. I went to someone's flat for christmas day, we all put money in and cooked a nice roast, it was really tasty (mum I ate pork! and liked it!) We were going to go on a cocktail bar crawl in the evening, but nothing was open, so ended up going to bed at 1am! I was cream crackered though to be fair. It was hard work opening all of my TWO presents hahaha. I got a vibrating frog massager from my room mate Jill, and an aussie sheila pinny from hannah because she calls me nanny foster and I love cleaning. Boxing day we got all dressed up like ladies and went to the Radwick races (for anyone who cares, this is where orlando bloom met his now girlfriend, that aussie victoria's secrets model...don't know what her name is!) It was finally a sunny day, thanks god as we have had such poor weather, so we were sweating our goolies off, and sat most of the time in the stands watching the races. I had 2 $5 bets, lost both! so came out $10 short - doh!

Today me and Danni were up early, the sun was shining and I said right! BEACH DAY! so we got on a bus, with the most random bus driver ever, teaching us about the sand on certain beaches and not to rub your fish you've caught (like we'd be fishing!!) in the sand because there's silicone in it...or something like that, so I said oooh! can we go there and get some implants then (straight over his head, he was too into the sand stories to care!) let us ride the bus for free! so we took the ferry from circular quay to Manly, met Jenna, my mate from gapyear and her friends and chilled out on the beach. It's been a lovely day, I appreciate Sydney a lot more when it's nice weather!! It was so hot today it was unbearable, we got in the sea a lot...even when Jenna (who is staying in Manly) told me there was a shark sighting in the sea yesterday and everyone had to get out of the water - jesus christ, it's like baywatch!! lol It's danni's last day in central today, as she's got to go to a hostel in Balmain for new year, but will come down to the harbour to celebrate it with us, there should be a big gang of us, should be good! think we're going to make a picnic and get some cool boxes and head to the botanical gardens just before lunch time, chill out, then I think there's 2 firework shows, watch them, and then who knows, if it's a hot day we'll be looking and smelling like tramps, so don't know about going to a club or something afterwards! Not got much planned in the few days leading up to new years, some of my oz intro girlies will be arriving soon! so look forward to seeing them, just hoping for decent weather, so I can jump on some buses and get off at some random beaches. Next beach on my list is Marouba.
