So, here is my proper first blog really...

Fri 28th Nov me, mum and sue got legroom seats on malaysian airlines BONZER! lol We arrived sweating our pants off, got a "limo" taxi booked to take us to our destination which is Port d*** on, an hour away from KL (kuala lumpur) centre. When we arrived at the hotel AVillion we found hotel beds.com are a bunch of liars, they thought there were only 2 people, and their "total price" was not so total after all!! Sue got her bargaining hat on and her note book and a4 planner out LOL... she managed to get us a little better deal, and some breakfast tokens... not including amy the lone traveller! (we have since been dodging the self named silverback (thats for for stu!) restaurant manager who watches the 3 english t*** in room 207's moves!!! because we leave the restaurant in different directions so as not to pay for my brekky HAHAHA. chavs!

we have a garden chalet room with a pool view, its quite nice really, my bed is a window seat with a matress on it, and i sleep with a colony of ants..... mum and sue sleep in seperate 4 poster beds with elegant mozzie nets. but mum has the air conditioning dripping water onto her barnet at night, not that she'd realise as her snoring is so immense!! The hotel is nice....not 5*, I've been to a few in my time, but nice all the same, we have 3 pools, one is adults only, and they are all open 24 hours! wooo skinny dipping! lol we found one stretch of beach..absolute dive, locals camping everywhere and cooking in the sand. Hotel AVillion will never forget room 207...the only english people to grace their land, they look at us like we've beamed down from our spaceship.

Saturday 29th nov just sunbathed all day, me and mum saw a family of monkeys, that apprently know (going by their 2008 diaries) to come at a certain time on a saturday to pluck the coconuts...weird, but they were cute and right above our heads in the pool. we also made friends with one of the peacocks...who mum and sue named rodney. oh dear... lol

sunday 30th nov mum broke telephone in room....we discovered we had hot water!! since arriving been having cold showers, after ringing reception who now hate us, they told us where there water button is....next to the light switch HAHAHA We booked a taxi to take us into PD (port dickinson) town....WELL... mohammed is a lying b******! LOL, he told us PD is s***, there's nowhere to go and nothing to do, nowhere to eat, only one restaurant...the sea view seafood restaurant, so there we were dropped! everyone was looking at us, we were thrust the menu and then expected to order asap, we had no idea what anything was, and would have liked 5 secs to read the damn menu, the waitress was less than accomodating, sue said her face could split a pea! so she was aptly named pea face lol she had no idea what vodka was! so sue had a beer. the food was really nice, as it was dark we couldnt see the sea view! but it was a tasty meal. we had to get used to the weird currency here called ringgits, which we call ringlets, wrinkles and various other names when bartering, and the locals have no idea what we're on!

mon 1st dec - HAPPY 1ST ANNIVERSARRY RICKY AND VICKY BRENNAN!!! XX we had heard about this wonderful place called "the blue lagoon" so decided to take a trip there with mohamed mahmoood taxi man again. WELL.... he dropped us off at this hotel and said the lagoon was round the back. It turned out to be a sewerage plant, with cranes and caterpillars everywhere, and random locals in tents doing their washing in the dirty scummy water. We felt really out of place and like we should cover up, as there were muslim women everywhere in full "wetsuit-birka's" - excellent!! we left and walked up this huge hill wetting ourselfs in the scorching heat. found a gorgeous beach but were told YOU CANNOT SWIM THERE lol so left, and mum hailed down this van that stated EXCELLENT PEST CONTROL with a big cockroach on it, they said hop in, so we did!! there was 3 blokes, and as there were three of us, think they were expecting sexual favours! but we ran after having a quick foto in front of the van, which for an exterminator was manky! they took us to a beach full of locals, we were again out of place and walked for ages through some dodgey looking mobs till we found a hotel gate which stated ENTER AND YOU WILL BE PERSECUTED...not prosecuted hhahaa! so we thought sod it... we need a taxi! came back to the hotel and stayed by the pool.... mum wet hserself on a sunbed in front of a german woman... which was absolutely hyseterical, and she has decided she needs her bladder looking at!! LOL

tues 2nd dec we found the luch hotel beach! only a 1 min walk from the bloody pool we've been sittin at the past 3 days! its gorgeous, has really odd crabs that make sand balls after 4pm..weird! but fascinating. we explored the road next to the hotel, after sue falling over the pavement every 5 mins and being eaten alive. there was a market wirh food and stalls...kinds like southall back home! but with odd food. sue lost her toe ring...this is still missing. mum lost both her earing studs, and then we had a search party of chinese people with goggles in the pool, sue found one of the earings...because she stepped on it and it was embedded in her foot! HAHAHAH we were laughing soo much.

today! wed 3rd nov went to "billion" shopping centre, what a load of s***! but i got a dress, and had a good meal. after needed to get home, we got accosted by a bloke who was trying to get us into a bush/car or something he stank of B.O and was being really pushy, mum had veered off the road towards a parked coach which she thought was a bus...she managed to blag us a lift with this egyptian tour company!! the deal was you had to get up and dance to their music whilst the bus is driving! which me and sue did...soo funny and the most random trip home i've had so far. mum wet herself on the hotel floor this morning, forgot to mention that!! sue broke the toilet roll holder, mum broke the toilet seat AND the phone wire hahaha. it has been soo funny, i guess you had to have been here! we are now a bit sick of PD and are looking into elephant sanctuaries in KL centre before I leave for Oz.

my phone aint working, forgot to put it on roaming! so probably won't have a fone till Oz with my aussie simcard. Right off on facebook now. pictures to follow, Sue has taken them all. Used my camera today though Hannah and Sally - its good!! speak to you all soon, lots of love AMy xxxxxx
