We arrived from Octopus resort and got to Beachcomber island at around 5.15 just in time to get ready for dinner and some drinks. We saw a poster saying it was the white party so we found whatever we had that was white and went down to the bar for a random buffet of spaghetti, curry and fajitas mix. After dinner we were all sat on long benches along the beach, each one full of young people playing different drinking games. We sat with some australian's and before we had time to drink anything we were called up for the competition because we were wearing white. It was only then that we realised no one else was in white so me meg and some kiwi guy went up to win a free drink in the 'competition'. It turned out to be a dance off and the MOST embarrsing moment of our lives with everyone watching us attempt to dance while kiwi was busting his moves as everyone already knew him. We managed to redeem ourselves though a after lots of drinks we had a big game of volleyball and a really good night. Waking up we suprisingly didnt have a hangover so made the most of it and walked all the way around the island which took about 10 mintues and was paradise... the amazing crystal clear water photos and white sand are from this walk it was like a postcard. We then went on a free snorkelling trip to see the coral which was so beautiful we saw Nemo lots of other fish and luckily no sharks as others had before we went out!!! Then we got the chance to see and feed the turtles and their babies so cute and we got to hold them too, they like everything else in Fiji were pretty chilled out. It was then time to get the boat back too the main land and off to the coral coast, south of Nadi, we were typically chatting away to other people and actually missed our little boat...oops. But 'Fiji time" meant they came back for us and we still made the main boat, which was the best boat ride ever as the fittest guys we ever saw were sat opposite us. Great end to our island hoping trip.
