After the overnight train and what felt like loads of buses we finally arrived in Khao Sok, the first part of our southern trip.
This island isnt beachy its jungle.....again!!!!
The sign at the guesthouse said "Arts river view lodge, The best place for nature lovers" i almost turned round and left, wheres the beach!!!!!
Turned out to be a really fun few days, we were right on a lovely river with clear blue water where we could swim, and there were monkeys everywhere!! Even spent one morning chasing them out of our room. One of the girls rooms got raided by two of them, they stole the contents of her wash bag!!! Hilarious, not for poor Anna right enough
We all went Tubing on the river, which is basically the inside of a large tyre, you get in it and the strong current and river rapids take you along. Great fun! Even seen some snakes curled up in the trees, not my cup of tea but good to see from afar!!!!
Khao Sok is home to the worlds oldest Rainforest, its millions of years old and apparantely one of the only rainforests to survive the ice age. Our bungalows were right in the middle of the rainforest, some very creepy noises at night!!! The Khao Sok national park is nearby which has all sorts of wildlife in it, even some wild elephants!!!
Good to see but not much to do here so was glad to move on......
surely theres a beach at the next stop....no more jungle please!!!!!!!
Missin everyone loads!!! wont be long till im home!!!! xxx
