Day - who knows: the end is sadly near!
Our last night in Hanoi was really good. Ryan was recommended a place for food so we headed there for the evening. Well ..... It wouldnt have passed food hygienge grade 0! The dishes and glasses were being washed in the street and the place definately hadn't seen a bottle of bleach - ever.
We decided to go for it means it was our last night and figured if we were ill on the plane we might be upgraded to cargo! (Air asia really is budget). The beer priced in at 13pence a glass so this may have swung our decision. No english was spoken so ordering was a bit tricky but we ended up having one of the nicest meals all trip. That was apart from the chicken dish I ordered. There were two prices on the menu for the chicken and we thought it was for small or large portions. It actually turned out to be the standard of meat served. After I pulled out a claw and Ryan a beak we were spitting feathers! And decided to give it back to the locals. They really will eat anything, we saw dogs, pigeons, eels and mice all being munched upon!
After the meal we visited the night market which went on for streets and streets with lots of bargains. We both really enjoyed our time in Vietnam and our last night in Hanoi has left us eager to come back for more.
