Today we were going to the Terracotta Warriors, which were about an hour out of Xian. I got up early, as I needed to get some stuff for lunch. I ended up going to one of the local bakeries and bought some really yummy things. I met the group out the front of the hotel then we caught some cabs to the bus stop to go out to the warriors. When arriving we walked around for ages trying to find it but it was on the other side of the road, so we walked across and found it.
After about an hour on the bus we arrived at the Terracotta Warriors and after buying our tickets we had a long walk to the gate. Getting through the gate it was certainly not what I expected. I thought the warriors would all be out in the open but they were contained within these large halls. It was a bit of a let down but I certainly glad I went.
After checking out the 3 rooms I met Ruth and got a coffee from the cafe and as Ruth was about to sit down the chair completely folded and Ruth went flying backwards. Luckily her coffee didn't go all over her.
Eventually the rest of the group all joined us and we decided to head back to the city. I got back on to the Internet before meeting the group for dinner at 6.30pm. After dinner we decided to check out the local night clubs but it turned out to be such a drama with all the negotiating that we couldn't really be bothered with it any more so we decided to go to the market and buy some beers to have back in Lindsay and Ruth's room. We stayed up chatting until about 1.30am.
