Spent a lazy morning at the hotel. It's nice to sleep late and not worry about being much of anywhere on time. We walked around the hotel a little bit and saw the tall pine trees up close. After sleeping late again, we had time to take a walk in the neighborhood. While we were out, we put the luggage in the car and noticed that one tire was low. Fortunately, there was a Discount Tire right across the street. They had a drive up lane just for little emergencies like this. They were able to fix the tire while we waited. Great service. We found the restaurant for lunch a little earlier than planned and did some walking in the shopping center there. ...

There was no need to hurry today, so we slept late and stayed at the hotel until about 11:00. Then we got back in the car for a few more hours to get to Conroe. We stopped for lunch at Dickeys Barbecue Pit. I could have barbecue every day of this trip. Dickeys was delicious and quite a good value with the senior discount.
