It's a heat wave in Vienna, unseasonably hot at 30 C yesterday and expected again today. What a fabulous city! We have an apartment in the city, close to everything. Arrived Friday night and yesterday hit the ground running, amazing flea market Naschmarkt, brat for brekkie. Then on the train to Schonbrunn palace, so beautiful, such excess, fabulous garden, FULL of roses. In the courtyard a Korean ladies choir in full voice AND makeup, awesome. Then train back to the city to pick up our tickets for the Opera tonight. Wandered around this grand city, museum quarter, lunch at a garden place. A little shopping then dressed and Vienna State Opera house, soo fabulous, Tristan and Isolde in this grand place then shnitzel at Plachutas. A very big day.
