I had a great time, on balance in Malaysia, but found the jungle a little disappointing. Perhaps I was expecting too much, thought I would be awe struck but was only quite interested. Greetings from zoo Negara. There are five of us working hard in the ape centre. It is not exactly glamorous but is really very rewarding. Contact with orangutans and chimps is special, they have very differing personalities. Their life behind bars means that they are keen to interact with some crazy humans. I feel very sorry for a chimp called Rambo who seems to be understandably frustrated, an intelligent being with very little stimulus.
