Hi there, long time no speak !!! I read your blog and felt as if you would never come back.... :-) Good to hear that you are having a great time and that the tourists are keeping you busy. All is well on our side. We have just come back from a weekend skiing in the French Alps. Great snow. Chris tried to impress our friends' kids by skiing backwards, fell and hurt his knee. Great. He is limping now !!! Also belated thank you for the xmas card. We are having a bit of paperwork nightmare at the moment and therefore only got to open it last week. Terrible.... Anyway, all the best and speak sooner hopefully ! xxx MC

I've heard good things about Queenstown, and Milford must be one of the most stunning place on the planet...just like Old Trafford after Ed and I watched the Reds beat money bags City 4-3 in Sept.

It's the anniversary of the Munich Air Disaster today, something that has almost religious significance to United fans. In fact Ed and I are going to the Carling Cup Final vs Villa in 3 weeks so it is not just you who is having all the fun.

We have the Six Nations Rugby starting today but I expect that you take this with a pinch of salt, given that you are funning it in the land of the mighty All Blacks.

I was in Ireland a couple of weeks ago watching the Munster monster edge out Northamption in the Heineken Cup. After a weekend of 8 million Guinnesses I can barely remember a thing from the trip!

I think your work is so much more satisfying than the daily slog that I undertrake up to London each day, and I really admire you for your spirit of adventure (you never lived by the rule book anyway!).

Next week were off skiing in Austria with Clan Burke so you can expect that to be hgh jinx.

Ed the Red had just done his GCSC mocks at Reeds and did pretty well. I told the teachers that, just like United, he is a strong finisher so he should do OK in the end.

We were at your house for the New Year and it was great to see almost all of the clan.

I'll try and drop you more regular updates in future and one day I will try and write something without referring to United.

In the meantime Erin go Bragh (Ireland forever).

Hi Ali, good to hear from you. We are all great here, snow just gone but not on the slopes, we are heading north next week for birthday/half term weekend. Lifes v busy as usual, work dong well, now developing estate agency side of mavor&co which is exciting. Kids doing well, still loving school and Katie still a madam. Gregor been giving money for his birthday and not sleeping worrying about what he is going to get, finlay is taking him to the model shop today, but still thinking about a dung spreader or a claas zeron 3000 tractor! Yawn say the girls...Keep the travelling going, dont worry about the UK, we will all be here whenever you come back and we need to travel and meet you when we semi retire! xxxxxx

Hi Ali, We have your Mum and Dad Lynz and Aunty Shona her for a belated New Year dram in the snow here in Braemar. Your now un-employed Dad has turned into a ski bum and is loving it heading to NZ to do a back to back winter next apparently. Glad to hear you are doing well. Aileen and I are wondering if Paul has grown any yet or is he still a short arse.

Plese ask him he is not sensitive about it at all..............promise.
