Hello again (check us out with our rapid updating - sorry it's taken a while...is anyone even reading this?!) So...next stop was Surfer's Paradise which we'd heard some mixed reviews about but in fact we really liked it. It's supposedly exactly like Miami (which neither of us have ever been to) - lots of high rise buildings provide the backdrop to the beach. There's lots of theme parks around the area to go to, so we chose Wet n' Wild. The name speaks for itself...

We left Rainbow Beach the next day (thankfully as other than trips to Fraser Island, there wasn't much to do there!) and caught the trusty Greyhound bus to Noosa, which i instantly fell in love with!! It reminded me a little bit of the South of France (Mum and Dad - the kind of place I can see you coming on holiday too!) and very mediterranean esque (def spelt that wrong..!) with a lovely little shopping street running parallel to the beach and lots of beachside ...

Hello from Bondi Beach, Sydney! We're now extremely behind with this blog, so I'll just carry on from where Alissa left off... After our sailing trip, we made our way down to Rainbow Beach. We stayed in a hostel there called Dingos, where we met our group that we were going to spend the next 3 days with on Frazer Island. Hello and welcome to our first blog! We are presently waiting for our boat to depart to spend 2 days and 2 nights sailing around the Whitsunday Islands...there has been a huge rainstorm and it's only just stopped, but it's already sunny again so bring on the tan!! Apparently we can help to sail if we like. We shall see! Don't know if either of us would make such good sailors! So, going back to when we arrived last Friday...we flew into Cairns on the North-East ...

We're really bad at updating this and are so far behind...sorry!! So we last left you as we were about to go on our Whitsunday sailing trip for 3 days and 2 nights... Together with our bags, we were completely soaked by the time we even got to the boat itself thanks to a lovely storm! We met the rest of our group on the boat (28 people and 4 crew) who were all really great, which is good as the boat was very very cosy - Debra and i supposidly had a 'double' bed ...
